Post-Illusion Press

Updated: Nov 4

Post Illusion Press is what happens when I stop running long enough to overthink everything. It’s the quieter (and occasionally louder) corner of Shank Gym — a place for essays about experimental music, psychology, philosophy, science fiction, and whatever else seems worth defending from the algorithm that week.

I’m basically a Neanderthal with a library card — just trying to make sense of the noise, the nonsense, and the occasional moment of beauty. Sometimes the writing leans philosophical, sometimes it’s just a long sigh in paragraph form. Either way, it’s honest work.

Post Illusion Press grew out of the same frustration that sparked my essays on the Dead Internet and the Web Ring project — because ranting about how everything’s broken only matters if you build something better. This is my small attempt to do that: to reconnect good ideas, good people, and a little bit of meaning in a world that keeps trying to automate both.

If that sounds like your kind of mistake, head over to Post Illusion Press on Substack. Bring coffee. Or something stronger.
