Essays, Zines, and Cultural Critique
Post Illusion Press is my publishing imprint for essays that don’t fit elsewhere: why we don’t need another sci-fi movie, why hustle culture is killing hobbies, why pseudo-intellectualism is everywhere. These aren’t race reports or astrophotography logs — they’re attempts to make sense of the noise around us. While somewhat connected to racing, more importantly, they provide a space for my essays outside of social media or search engines. They are published in a zine format, with each volume focusing on a single idea from three different perspectives.
My goal is not to be definitive but to be honest. Some pieces are reflective, some satirical, some personal. All are written with the belief that thinking hard and writing clearly are worth the effort, even when the world seems to have given up on both. I encourage everyone to do the same. Putting your ideas down helps to solidify them and makes them real; there is no prerequisite to become a writer other than... writing.
If the expedition divisions are about mapping the world underfoot and overhead, Post Illusion Press is about mapping the illusions we live inside. It’s not about answers — it’s about breaking through the surface to see what lies beneath.
